It's pretty intense, almost anything can kill you, even the doorways, and once you're dead, you start over, nothing in your inventory and no weapons. You start off on a coast and you have to pretty much find everything for yourself, weapons, food, ammo and vehicles...

It's not the type of game you want to be running around like a headless chicken, you wana keep you head down and your eyes open and rely heavily on stealth.
